Freebridge Community Housing (FCH) is the landlord set up in 2006 to take the transfer of the former housing stock of the Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. Freebridge Community Housing will be spending some 73 million in the first 6 years after the Stock Transfer in order to bring properties it owns and manages up to the Decent Homes Standard - and indeed to exceed it in many areas. Freebridge operates across the whole of West Norfolk with our main office premises in central King's Lynn supporting by a Property Services Depot on the outskirts of the town, and the Area offices in the North (at Hunstanton) and South (Downham Market) of the region. At the date of transfer Freebridge owned and managed some 6,890 properties for rent to those in housing need, with 3,100 of these within the main regional centre of King's Lynn itself. Our governing Board is made up of 15 members, some of whom are tenants. Much of our partnership working with tenants is directed through TOWN (Tenants of West Norfolk - the tenant organisation).
The Freebridge 'Let's Talk' Roadshow began on Tuesday 23rd June and will run throughout the summer.
