Halloween Fun in the Heart of the Community
Activity sessions were held throughout the week with decorations being made, and delicious food being prepared for the children’s party, which took place on Friday 30 October. Over 45 children and their families came along to take part.
Ruth Taylor, Community Organiser said: “We had an absolutely brilliant time at the community cafe, over half term. The best part was definitely the Halloween party! We all joined in with party games, apple bobbing and wore our spooky outfits. It was great to see so many children having fun and I can’t wait for the next fun event, the Christmas lights switch on – “Light up the Square.”
Freebridge tenant Emma Withers went to on to say: “As soon as I heard about the events at the cafe, I knew that my children would enjoy going along. It’s great having so much to take part in on our doorstep. We went to all of the sessions together and had a brilliant time. I think I enjoyed it as much as the children! Really looking forward to the things planned for Christmas now.”
Further events are lined up including the Christmas Lights Switch, taking place on Friday 4 December and a visit from Father Christmas and his helpers on Monday 21 December.
All of the activities are based at the Community Cafe, where Freebridge are partnering with Costa Coffee, serving their wholesale ‘Proud to Serve’ range offering quality refreshments at affordable prices.
