Sunnyside Residents Raise Funds for East Anglian Air Ambulance
19/12/2011
Residents of Sunnyside Close in Heacham have donated £200 to the East Anglian Air Ambulance after they raised funds for the charity through a Christmas fayre.
The fayre, which took place on 26th November, was organised by residents and included a variety of stalls selling cakes and Christmas gifts.
The fayre also raised enough money for the residents to have a special Christmas lunch at Sunnyside and following the meal, a cheque for £200 was presented to the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
Mick Harpley, a Sunnyside resident who helped to organise the Christmas fayre and the lunch: “We decided to support the East Anglian air ambulance as one of the residents at Sunnyside has used the service and wanted to say thank you. We thought it would be a nice gesture to give them £200 and we hope that it helps the charity.”
Sunnyside is a Freebridge sheltered housing scheme and consists of 31 homes.
