Applying for a Transfer

Any existing tenant of Freebridge Community Housing can ask to transfer to another property of the Association, if they feel that their their existing property no longer meets, or is unsuitable for their needs.

In all except urgent / emergency circumstances, Freebridge Community Housing tenants should apply for transfer of tenancy through registration with the West Norfolk Homechoice Housing Register.

All applicants for transfer through West Norfolk Homechoice should note that the agreement of Freebridge Community Housing will be required, regardless of a successful bid through West Norfolk Homechoice, before any transfer to another Freebridge Community Housing property takes place. Agreement will be conditional on the tenant/s being in full compliance with the conditions of their Tenancy Agreement, including the payment of rent, any other outstanding housing-related charges and the condition of the property from which they are seeking transfer.

Freebridge Community Housing recognises that circumstances may occur whereby urgent, immediate action is needed to transfer a tenant to another property and that as a responsible, caring landlord it is essential that we respond appropriately. Such urgent, immediate situations can be due to emergency circumstances relating to the tenant/s' welfare, or for some Housing Management reasons.
