West Norfolk is the 8th largest borough in the country, covering an area of about 550 square miles and having a population of 140,000.
While it is largely rural, West Norfolk contains the historic town of King's Lynn, with Downham Market, a market town to the south and Hunstanton, a seaside town to the north. Each of these towns attracts tourism activity, as does the Royal Sandringham estate, also within the borough!
In the northern part of West Norfolk there is a long stretch of coastline which is extremely attractive, containing a substantial number of wildlife reserves. Parts of the coastline are within the Norfolk Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
