Your right to repair

Under housing law (Section 96 of the Housing Act 1985), you have the right to have certain repairs carried out by us within set timescales.

If any of these 'Right to Repair' defects (below) are not completed within their legal timescale you can ask us to get someone else to repair the job at no cost to you. If the second person doesn’t finish the job on time, you may be able to claim compensation. The full list of defects which qualify under the 'Right to Repair' is below.
