Tenancy Support

We understand that sometimes it can be difficult to make a success of turning a house into a home, where you feel settled and safe. Our Tenancy Support Team are here to provide free, non-judgemental advice and help to both new and existing customers.

We can provide help with:

  • Advice on moving home
  • Benefit and Universal Credit advice
  • Money management and budgeting
  • Aids and adaptations for your home
  • Domestic abuse, hate crime, or other forms of abuse or neglect
  • Hoarding and home safety
  • Personal support plans
  • Anti-social behaviour.

Our Tenancy Support team follow a strict code of conduct and will always treat your enquiry confidentially.

Our Support Fund

We have a dedicated Support Fund to help customers who find themselves in financial difficulty. We will work with customers who are referred to us to complete an initial financial assessment, before offering further assistance with vouchers for utility payments, food, or specialist items such as school uniforms.

Our partners

We work with a number of different local partners and charities to help support and signpost our tenants to including:

  • Pandora Project - The charity provides support for women and children affected by domestic abuse, including counselling, group programs, and practical help.
  • Purfleet Trust - provides homelessness support, food and furniture poverty support, employment support, and training for independent living.
  • Lily - from basic household assistance and future planning, to help with dealing with complex issues.
  • Age Uk - It provides information, advice, and a wide range of services, such as help with benefits, social activities, and practical support for living independently for the older generations.
  • West Norfolk Mind - local Mind mental health charity offering an extensive range of mental health services, along with associated training, advice and information. 
  • Break - working across East Anglia to make life better for children and young people from care and those with complex needs.
  • Wellbeing talking Therapies - talking Therapies provide a range of support for people with common mental health and emotional issues, such as low mood, depression, or stress.
  • Hanseatic Union - local charity that supports disadvantaged individuals in the community of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk who are facing barriers to services or thriving in our local community.
  • Sanctuary Scheme - a victim-centred programme that can prevent homelessness by allowing victim-survivors of domestic abuse to feel safer in their home where it is their choice, and it is safe to do so.
  • Household Support Fund - funding through the local council to support vulnerable people.
  • Adult and children Social Services
  • Client hardship service - to help you to live independently wherever possible and get out of financial hardship.
  • Citizens advice bureau - provide free, confidential, accredited and impartial advice, campaigning on big issues affecting people's lives.
  • Tech Skills for life - help you access laptops, tablets and internet data, and can give advice about affordable broadband.
  • Probation services
  • West Norfolk Homechoice - Housing options for the West Norfolk area.
  • West Norfolk disability information service - checking that you are getting the right benefits and offer advice and support for applications for PIP (Personal Independence Payments) and other disability welfare benefits.
  • Early Help Hub - is about giving information, advice and guidance to families. We want to help as soon as difficulties start. This is to prevent family worries growing into bigger issues.
  • Odd Fellows - from uplifting meet-ups that bring people together, to trusted welfare advice in difficult times.
