Roof Replacement

Once your home has been identified for a roof/roofline replacement, we will write to you to confirm this. After that our contractor will contact you to arrange a visit to your home for a survey.

If we don’t already have a valid asbestos survey for your property, we’ll arrange one before work starts. If asbestos is found, it will be safely removed during the works if required.

Once your survey is complete and all the details are agreed the contractor will schedule your re-roof or roofline replacement. This will include the likely start date, the expected duration of the works and when scaffolding will be erected/removed.

Communication is very important to us, so if you have any questions, please give our Resident Liaison Coordinators a call:

Frequently Asked Questions

When will the work take place?

Our planned programme runs from April to March, so your survey and work could take place at any point during this period.

What can I expect?

Scaffolding will be erected between 3 and 5 days before the work is expected to start, at this point we may need to move any aerials/satellite dish and reposition them, so you still have a tv signal.

If we are doing several properties in the area, we will set up a compound so operatives have a base with storage and Portaloo’s, however if yours is the only property this will be set up within your grounds.

A few days prior to the work beginning, we will deliver your new tiles and on the start day any other materials needed, along with a skip for any rubbish.

How long will it take?

This depends on the size of your property and if you are a detached, semi-detached or a terrace. However generally work will last between 7 and 10 working days, depending on weather conditions and if any additional work is required, such as asbestos removal or structural repairs. The supervisors and operatives on site will keep you up to date with progress.

Will there be someone at my property every day?

Not necessarily. Contractors and on-site supervisors will keep you up to date whilst work is underway.

What do I need to do?

Make sure that the loft area is clear of belongings and any valuable possessions or anything breakable is clear from around the scaffolding.

Make sure that any children or pets stay clear of the scaffolding, and work areas whilst the installation is underway. Your home and garden will be a construction site, and we must ensure the safety of you and your family.
