The Wild Hub: Creating Safe Spaces and Supporting Wellbeing Through Community Funding

2025-06-19

With support from the Freebridge Community Fund last year, The Wild Hub has been able to offer a lifeline to many in the local community.

The funding allowed the group to run regular wellbeing sessions, offering a safe and inclusive space for people struggling with anxiety, long-term health issues, and social isolation.

“These sessions have enabled people who might otherwise face barriers to access support,” they shared. The impact has been deeply personal for many participants. One attendee said: “This session was exactly what I needed – positivity and gentle, beneficial movement.”

The sessions go beyond wellbeing – they help build confidence and community. “Our groups have helped people form meaningful friendships and connect into the wider community,” The Wild Hub said. And the work doesn’t stop there. Thanks to the funding, they’ve also been able to run creative sessions for children and families, encouraging intergenerational bonding through art, play and shared experiences.

Looking ahead, The Wild Hub plans to continue their work over the summer with inclusive sessions for children and young people – complete with fun activities and health snacks.

“None of this would have been possible without the Freebridge Community Fund. Your support has helped us reach those who need it most, and we are deeply thankful.”
