Please stay scam aware
2025-07-03
We've been made aware of scam calls in the local area, where fraudsters pretend to be from trusted organisations such as us here at Freebridge Community Housing.
These calls might show as coming from a known number, or may appear as 'withheld'.
Please note that:
· We will never withhold our number when calling you.
· If you're unsure, hang up and call us back on our official number: 03332 404 444.
· Didn’t request a repair or service? It’s unlikely we’d be contacting you.
· Genuine staff will always provide clear, verifiable information.
· Suspicious call? Report it to us right away - your safety is our priority.
· We will never pressure you to act immediately or threaten legal action or eviction over the phone.
If you receive a suspicious call, you should hang up immediately - especially if the number is withheld or the caller is aggressive.
Please do report any suspicious calls you receive to us by either emailing us at [email protected] or by calling 03332 404 444.
When reporting this to us, please include the following information:
· The phone number (if visible).
· The time and date of the call.
· What the caller said or asked for.
· Whether you shared any personal information.
If you feel threatened, please do call Norfolk Police on 101, or 999 in an emergency.
You can also report scam calls to:
· National Cyber Security Centre.
· You can either contact your network operator’s customer services, or forward spam text messages to 7726.
It’s important to stay vigilant and protect yourself from potential scams. If you have any doubts or concerns about a call you have received, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
